I saw this on popular delicious the other day. I decided that I didn't like it. It's only cool because its an acoustic version of a hip-pop song. It could be any song and any singer, really.

But now there's a good idea for getting attention for up and coming singer/songwriters. Do an acoustic cover of In Da Club or It's Gettin Hot In Derrr.

I've come to the conclusion that when a singer/songwriter can take a popular like that and prove that there are really meaningful lyrics behind the beats, it's fucking awesome. Some people can't get past it being a rap or hip-hop song, but some people DO get it. And, seriously, everyone in the damn world has done covers. That was a damn good rendition.

You got me all wrong. The original version of Hey Ya is incredible, so i DO get it.
